Seachd is going international!
Young Films has secured a deal with Altadena Films, an international sales agent, to sell Gaelic feature film Seachd - The Inaccessible Pinnacle, around the world. Altadena will represent the film at the Berlin Film Festival then at markets and festivals around the world thereafter. For the international market the English title will be Seachd - The Crimson Snowdrop.

Altadena Films (previously Inframe Films) specialises in acquiring rights to exceptional independent feature films by talented directors. The company is part of Hollywood Classics, which represents the classic film libraries of MGM/UA, Universal, 20th Century Fox, Columbia Pictures, Warner Bros., Canal Plus and Carlton International, as well as a number of films from independent producers.
So we hope Seachd will be coming to a country near you soon!
Any news on when/if this film will be released in the U.S.???

Too late, I already bought it on amazon.co.uk ! The shipping took nearly three weeks, so I could have done with a french realease, but then, you have to win the film, haven't you ? I guess they didn't send many copies to France ! I'll get some friends to watch it, because it's a real must-see, and I'll just help them with the subtitles.
The movie's stunningly beautiful ! Thanks for the dream :).

Sorry for the ignorance....but will the Region 2 DVD play in US? Had the pleasure of seeing a screening of this extraordinary film in Milwaukee, WI and have taken pleasure in the memory of it ever since. Would gladly purchase from Amazon UK if it will work. Probably could have answered my own question with a little research...but too lazy right now.

Wendy - Many new DVD players here in the US are multi-region. I seen one on Amazon the other day for less than $30us and no doubt the major box stores stock one or two models.
