Help spread the word on MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, Hi5 and Piczo

With over 10,000 friends on MySpace we thought it was about time we created profiles on other social networks.  So, now you'll be able to find us on all of these networks:

We'd love for you to be our friend on any of the networks you might be on.

If you are a friend on any of these networks, there's a couple of things you can do to help us spread the word more widely...

1 | Let you friends know!

Tell your friends about us in your blog, or at the bottom of messages or by commenting on their pages.  The more people who might care about the film who hear about it, the better.  Also, if you receive a message or bulletin about the film, simply repost it to all of your friends.

2 | Placing links, widgets and images on your profile

You can put the Seachd slide player, music player, blog and soon video player on your profile page on most social networks.  You can get the code by clicking on "+ your site" under any of those elements at http://www.seachd.com or at http://www.myspace.com/seachd (and soon on most social networks).

We have providing the simple code to link to our official site on this page: http://www.seachd.com/index_links.html and you can also find simple banner ads here: http://www.seachd.com/index_links_banners.html to which will soon be adding drop-down flash banner ads containing the trailer.

3 | Joining in and making recommendations

We really love it when people enter our competitions, give us feedback and make suggestions, because it continues the real community spirit with which our film was made.  Right now, we're asking people to vote for their favourite of the top designs from our t-shirt competition at http://www.myspace.com/seachd.  If you have any recommendations as to how we can improve our presence on any of the social networks please contact us and we'll add to the pot of ideas we're working on.

Join our Seachd e-team and help spread the word

Would you like to help us spread the word about the first ever Scottish Gaelic feature film?  If you have just a few spare minutes and use the web regularly then you can help in small ways that will make a big difference to the film and to the Scottish Gaelic language.

If you'd like to help out, simply send an email to eteam@seachd.com to join our e-team.  We'll be in contact shortly afterwards with a few things you can do online to help spread the word about the film.

They'll be some exclusives for e-team members along the way but most of all, if you have the time, we look forward to working with you!

Help spread the word in blogs and forums

Do you have a blog?  Do you read blogs?  Do you have a friend with a blog? Do you take part in any online forums?  ...then you might be able to help us.

1 | ON YOUR BLOG

We'd be delighted if you were able to write about our film on your blog (on MySpace or anywhere else).  We don't mind at all if you want to duplicate any of any blog entries, but if you'd like us to write something special for you, or you'd like to send us any interview questions (for any of the cast or crew) then we'd be happy to oblige.  We've also made widgets for slide shows, banners and music players that you can grab for your own site if you'd like.  Also, if you don't have a blog yet, why not start one?  It's extremely easy on MySpace and you'd be surprised how many readers you can get very quickly!

2 | ON BLOG'S YOU READ

If you read film or entertainment blogs or Scottish, Celtic or Gaelic blogs we'd love it if you mentioned the film to the blog writer.  The easiest way to do this is to write a comment under a relevant blog entry, but if you know the writer please let them know about our film and our offer of supplying material that their blog readers might enjoy!

3 | FORUMS IN WHICH YOU PARTICIPATE

If you take part in film or entertainment forums or Scottish, Celtic or Gaelic forums, it would be great if you could mention our little film.  Withouy anything vaguely approaching Hollywood marketing monies (read: no marketing monies) we really rely on word of mouth to help get the word out about our film.  Forums are a great place to do just that.

Why not add a little bit of Seachd to your website, blog or MySpace page?  Well, we've created widgets, banners and links for you to do just that.

1 | Widgets

The Seachd slide show, music player, and blog have been designed in "web widget" form so you can grab the code and place a widget on your own page.  Just look for the "+ your site" link on http://www.seachd.com or http://www.myspace.com/seachd and click to get hold of the embed code.  The size of most of the widgets can be tailored to your own page, and we've provided helpful information on how to install them and customise them.  Look out for the forum and trailer widgets coming soon.

2 | Links and banners

We would love to exchange links with you!  If you run a website we'd love for you to provide a link to http://www.seachd.com so your friends or readers can find out about the film.  We've provided the code for you to place banners or links on your own page here: http://www.seachd.com/index_links.html - where you'll also find a directory of links to a wide variety of other sites that might be of interest.  We've also create some banners (flash banners coming soon!) the code of which we have also provided.
